Terms of service

The terms your repair is carried out under, including the warranty, our liability, and what happens to uncollected devices.

Last updated 31 August 2026

Quotes and approval

Every quote is given after a diagnostic and is fixed for that scope of work. If we find an additional fault once the device is open, we stop and contact you — we never add work to an invoice without your approval.

Quotes are valid for 30 days. Prices published on this site are starting prices and vary by model and by the part fitted.

The free diagnostic

Diagnostics are free on every device and every fault, whether or not you proceed. If we cannot identify or fix the fault, you pay nothing.

Warranty

Repairs carry a 180-day warranty covering both the replacement part and our labour. If the same fault recurs within that period we will repair it again at no charge.

The warranty does not cover new accidental damage, liquid ingress after the repair, damage caused by third-party work carried out afterwards, or faults unrelated to the original repair. A device with a cracked screen fitted by us and then dropped is a new repair, not a warranty claim.

Your data

You are responsible for backing up your device before handing it in. We take reasonable care and most repairs do not involve storage at all, but no repair can be guaranteed risk-free, and we cannot accept liability for data loss on a device that was not backed up.

Liquid-damaged devices

Liquid damage is unpredictable. We will always tell you the likelihood of success before starting, but we cannot guarantee a repair, and a device that works after cleaning may still fail later from corrosion already present. Liquid damage work is carried out on a best-efforts basis.

Parts

We use genuine parts where they are available to independent repairers and Grade-A aftermarket parts where they are not. You are told which before approving the quote. Removed parts are recycled unless you ask for them back at drop-off.

Turnaround times

Times given are estimates based on normal parts availability. If a part is delayed we will contact you with a revised date rather than leaving you to wonder.

Uncollected devices

We will contact you when a repair is finished. Devices left uncollected for 90 days after we notify you, despite reasonable attempts to reach you, may be sold or recycled to recover our costs, as permitted by law.

Liability

Our liability for any repair is limited to the value of the repair charge, except where the law does not permit such a limit. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
