Five signs your phone battery is finished
Batteries fail gradually, then all at once. Here is what the slow part looks like.

How it works
The order matters. Nobody opens your device until you have seen the number and said yes to it.
Bring the device in or post it to us. We test it properly — not just the obvious fault — and tell you what is actually wrong.
You get a fixed quote before anyone opens anything. If you decide against the repair, you owe us nothing and the diagnostic is still free.
The repair is carried out, the device is tested end to end, and it leaves with a 180-day warranty on the part and the labour.
What we fix
Each page sets out what the repair involves, what it typically costs, and how long the device is away from you.
Screens, batteries, charging ports and cameras for iPhone, Samsung, Pixel and every other handset that comes through the door.

Screens, keyboards, batteries, fans, storage upgrades and the software problems that look like hardware ones.

HDMI ports, disc drives, overheating, power faults and controller drift on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

Digitisers, LCDs, batteries and charging ports on iPad, Galaxy Tab, Surface and Fire tablets.

The two repairs we do most, on almost every device, usually while you wait.
Photos, documents and drives pulled back from dead phones, failed SSDs and drowned laptops.
Brands on the bench this week
Who we are
We have been on SE Mill Plain Boulevard since 2011, which is long enough to have repaired most things twice. Being independent means we work on any brand, at any age, including the models manufacturers have quietly stopped supporting.

What things cost
These are the repairs people ask about most. Every service page carries its own full list.
Quoted before we start · Diagnostic free
| Repair | Typical turnaround | From |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone screen replacement | 45 min | $89 |
| Phone battery replacement | 30 min | $59 |
| Laptop screen replacement | 1–2 days | $149 |
| PS5 / Xbox HDMI port | 2–3 days | $119 |
| Controller stick drift | Same day | $49 |
| Data recovery (logical) | 2–5 days | $149 |
Prices start from the figures shown and depend on the model and the part fitted. You always get a fixed quote before any work begins, and the diagnostic is free whether or not you go ahead.
Reviews
4.9/ 5
Dropped my iPhone getting out of the car on Mill Plain and the whole screen went. They quoted me at the counter, said 45 minutes, and it was 40. No upsell, no lecture about cases.
My PS5 stopped outputting to the TV. Two other places told me to buy a new console. Fixing Masters replaced the HDMI port for $119 and it has been solid for four months.
Spilled coffee across a MacBook with two years of client work on it. They got every file off the SSD and were honest that the board itself was not worth repairing. Saved me.
Good work on a Lenovo keyboard swap and a fair price. Took a day longer than quoted because the part came late, but they called me rather than leaving me guessing.
Took my daughter's Switch in for a charging port. They showed me the bent pins under a microscope before fixing it. That is the first time a repair shop has ever explained anything to me.
Battery on my Pixel was down to four hours. Replaced in half an hour while I got a coffee. Back to a full day again for sixty dollars instead of eight hundred.
Find the workshop
Walk in during opening hours and we will look at your device. There is no appointment system and no queue ticket — just a counter and a bench behind it.
From the bench

Batteries fail gradually, then all at once. Here is what the slow part looks like.

The rice thing does not work. What you do in the first few minutes genuinely does.

Fans, dust, thermal paste and the software that quietly pins your CPU at 100%.
Before you come in
If yours is not here, call the workshop and ask.
Most phone screens and batteries are done in 30 to 60 minutes while you wait. Laptops and tablets are usually one to three days, consoles two to four, and data recovery two to seven depending on what failed. You get a time estimate with your quote, and a call if anything changes it.
Yes, on every device and every fault, whether or not you go ahead with the repair. We would rather tell you honestly that something is not worth fixing than charge you to find out.
Every repair carries 180 days on both the replacement part and our labour. If the same fault comes back in that window we fix it again at no cost. The warranty does not cover new accidental damage — a fresh drop is a fresh repair.
Screen, battery, port and camera repairs do not touch your storage, so your data stays where it is. We still ask you to back up first, because no repair is entirely risk-free. If a device will not power on we will tell you before we start whether recovery is likely.
We use genuine parts where they are available to independent repairers, and Grade-A aftermarket parts where they are not — never the cheapest bin option. We tell you which you are getting before you approve the quote, and the price reflects it.
No. Walk in during opening hours and we will look at it. Booking ahead through the form or by phone means we can have the part ready, which is worth doing for anything less common than an iPhone screen.
Describe the fault and we will tell you what it takes to fix it, what it costs, and how long it will be away from you. The diagnostic is free whether or not you go ahead.
